You can record your own voice from microphone and insert it to your show photo page as a sound. A recorded sound can be saved into the pre-recorded sound list for future use.
Start recording new voice
Click on Record Voice tool button at the top right corner. A list of available pre-recorded voice will be listed underneath. If you never record any voice before you will not see anything in the list. Click on Record new Voice button underneath the Record Voice tool button. A window as shown below will show up.
Make sure your microphone is turned on. Speak through the microphone to test if it is working. When you say something through the microphone, you should hear your voice back from the speaker. If not:
Click on Start Recording to begin recording from microphone and start speaking immediately. A timer will start counting showing you the current recording length. The longer the sound, the bigger the resulting show file size. If you can, try to minimize the recording length. As a rule of thumb, 5 second sound adds 1 second downloading time when your show is viewed online by others.
To stop recording, click Stop recording button.
Click Play button to test your recording.
If you like the recording and want to use it, click on Save this recording button. But before hand, if you want to insert this recording as one of the pre-recorded voice collection, check Insert voice into collection check box and type in name for this voice. To redo the recording simply click Start recording button again. To cancel recording voice, click Cancel button. If you choose to insert voice into collection, the voice you just recorded will be seen on the list at tool window. Later you can drag anyone of them into preview window to insert it.
On a photo page, a recorded voice will be represented by a flashing lips icon. A recorded voice behaves the same way as Sound. It also has two different behavior:
You can select a voice either by clicking on it on the preview window or selecting it from the list box provided on the left.
Making recorded voice to loop A recorded voice can be played in loop continuously by checking the Loop sound check box
Playing a recorded voice for testing Click to select the recorded voice on the preview window. Click on Play button
Re-record a recorded voice Click to select the recorded voice on the preview window. Click on Record button.
Positioning recorded voice icon Drag the recorded voice icon directly on the preview window to position it. This is only useful for Play On Click recorded voice behavior. 'Play automatically recorded voice behavior' does not show recorded voice icon when show is played so there is no use of positioning the voice icon.
Deleting a recorded voice Select the recorded voice by clicking on it on the preview window. Click on Delete button on the far right of Play button.
Changing recorded voice behavior Click to select the recorded voice on the preview window. Click on More settings button to open up a menu to change recorded voice behavior.
To set sound quality Sound quality setting is used to adjust the quality of your recorded voice. The lower (left) the quality the smaller the file size and vice versa. Lowest quality sound is a quarter the size of Highest quality.
