How do I get here?

From Main Menu, click Open button below the show thumbnail. You will be directed to Opening Show Window. Click Make VCD/AVI/DVD.

When you choose output type as DVD, this window is the last step in the process.

 

Overview

InAlbum 3.0 Deluxe comes with a DVD menu authoring tools that lets you add choose how many thumbnails per page, thumbnail frame, text settings, shadow, background image and adding music to your DVD menu.

Enabling/Disabling an interactive menu

To enable/disable the interactive menu, simply check/uncheck the Have interactive menu checkbox at the upper left corner of the window

 

Changing a background

Clicking on Background will open up a background library window. To choose any of the background in the library, simply click on the thumbnail and press OK.

To use your own image file as a background, click on Browse button and select your image file. The image file will automatically be added into the library.

 

DVD-Menu-Background

 

Use slider underneath background button to adjust the brightness of the background. This is usefull to darken a bright background which causes the white thumbnail caption very hard to be read.

 

Changing a layout

Clicking on layout list will show you available layout to choose. Layout determine how many show thumbnail per page and where are they located. Example: if you have 8 shows in your DVD and you choose 3x2 layout, your DVD menu will consist of 2 pages with the first page having 6 show thumbnails and the second page having 2 show thumbnails.

 

If you have more than 1 menu page, you can jump between menu page by clicking on the << and >> button underneath the preview. To see a larger preview of your menu page, click on Preview button at the bottom right corner of the preview window.

 

Changing thumbnail settings

Clicking on the thumbnail on preview window will open up a thumbnail settings. There you can select a new thumbnail, choose a thumbnail frame, set a drop shadow, etc. Note that every thumbnail will share the same frame and drop shadow settings.

 

Changing text settings

Clicking on the text on preview window will open up a text settings. There you can adjust font settings, add shadow, etc. Note that every thumbnail caption will share the same font settings. However Play all and Title text will have its own settings.

 

Changing button

Clicking on previeous or next button will allow you to choose a different button.

 

Selecting music

To choose a music, click on Pick a Song button.

By default each template provided by InAlbum has a built in music. But we know that some of you may want to choose your own music. Here, InAlbum gives you the flexibility to choose music from:

InAlbum music collection. InAlbum groups these music into several categories such as Country, Disco, etc
your own MP3 music file
Select from CD Audio
no music at all

 

To choose music from InAlbum collection

Click on Pick a Song button. Browse any music category provided. By default all these music are not included when you install InAlbum to minimize the install size but they are freely downloadable. You will see under each song there will be submenu Download and Choose. When Choose is disabled it means you don't have the music yet, click on Download to get this music automatically (make sure you are connected to the internet).

 

To choose your own MP3 music file

Click on Pick a Song button. Click on Choose My Own MP3.

 

To choose your CD Audio

Click on Pick a Song button. Click on Select from CD Audio.

Insert your CD audio into the CD-ROM drive. Wait for about 5 seconds until it loads up then click Drive listbox to select the drive you insert the CD audio into. A List of track will become available. Click on the desired track and click OK. The process to grab the CD audio will take between 1-2 minutes. Please be patient.

 

You can trim the music at a specific length by checking the Trim to checkbox and add a value to the textbox.

 

Save Settings

To save the current DVD menu settings to a file for future use.

 

Load Settings

To load the current DVD menu settings from a file
