Making HTML Files

How do I get here?

From Main Menu, click Open button below the show thumbnail. You will be directed to Opening Show Window. Click Make HTML Files

Overview

Making HTML Files let you export your show into an .HTML and an .SWF file so that you can put these two files in your own website. By viewing the HTML file online, other people will be able to view your show. Use Making Your Show Available Online to automatically put the show on inAlbum.com free server (you must purchased the software to get access to it)

If you are using InAlbum 3.0 Deluxe, you will be able to publish several shows into an HTML pages with flash animated menu. For InAlbum 3.0 you can only publish one show.

InAlbum 3.0 Deluxe

InAlbum 3.0 Deluxe user will see a window like above. You can choose either to publish one show as an HTML and SWF file or as a multiple show with a Flash (SWF) menu.

When you choose to Make a multiple show with a Flash (SWF) menu, you can browse the menu templates by clicking on Browse button.

Then you can decide what to do with the result in Output option.

Save into a folder will save the output into a folder. You can then simply upload everything in this folder into your website.

Make an autorun CD-ROM will burn the output into an autorun CD which will play automatically when inserted. This is a great way to deliver a presentation.

Make an autorun DVD-ROM will burn the output into an autorun DVD which will play automatically when inserted.

When you select to Make a multiple show with a Flash (SWF) menu, you will see the window above. A preview of your selected menu can be seen at the top left corner. To customize the color and text of your HTML and flash menu, fill in the provided textbox and click on the colorbox. Each menu may have a different textbox and colorbox so the window you see is not always something like the one showing above.

By default InAlbum will compress your photos and music to get smaller show. To modify this behavior, click on Settings button.

When you ready, click Next button.

Here you select shows you want to publish. Simply double click on the show thumbnail on the left hand window to include them. Note that some menu has maximum number of show that can be included.

When you are ready to publish, click on Make HTML now button.

Making your show smaller for HTML files

Whenever we talk about making your show available online, you need to consider the size of your show. The bigger the show the longer it takes for people who try to view your show online to wait before they can see it. Using a standard modem 56K connection, it takes 2.5 minutes to download 1MB file. Using broadband will take only 5 to 10 seconds.

InAlbum provides a very useful compression tool.

By default the exported show will be compressed according to default settings:

To modify this settings, click Settings button at the top of the window.
