Step 2. Decorating photo print

In this step you will insert your own photo, decorate your photo with clipart and speech bubble. Then select the paper for print out and Print the decorated photo or set it as a wallpaper or save it as a high resolution image file.

 

When the window open, a default photo will be prepared for you.

Normally you want to replace this photo with your own photo. To achieve better result, make sure the photo you use is identical in proporsion (ratio between width and height). Use higher resolution photo (about 2,500 x 2,500 pixels or 4Megapixel) as much as possible to get a better print out quality.

Click Browse button underneath preview window to choose your own photo.

A photo browser window will open. Choose a photo and click OK.

You will see now that the photo is replaced with your own photo. You can position this photo by clicking on the photo on the preview window and drag it around. To resize the photo manually, drag the Scale slider below the preview window.
To automatically adjust the photo size in proportion the the workspace area, click on Size listbox next to the Browse button. A 3 different automatic sizing methods are provided.
Stretched: To resize the photo to match the workspace area neglecting the photo aspect ratio.
Clipped: To resize the photo to match the workspace area but preserve the photo aspect ratio. The resulting photo may be slightly bigger than the workspace area.
Original: Do not resize photo. Use original photo dimension.

Note that all of these controls to modify background will only available when you have background selected. If you have a clipart or speech bubble selected, this area will be replaced with clipart/speech bubble properties. To show the background properties again, simply click on the background photo on preview window.

Now you can add a clipart/speech bubble by simply dragging them from the right hand window into the preview window. To change the clipart category, click on the category list currently showing "Facial Fun"

Now lets print this page. First we need to decide what paper size we want to print this photo into. Click on Paper list at the top left corner of preview window.

Using photo print type in this tutorial, there will be 2 options showing: Photo Paper 4x6 and Standard A4 Paper.

If you want to print into a photo paper 4x6, choose "Photo Paper 4x6". Choosing Standard A4 Paper will print the photo with dimension of 4x6 at the top corner of the A4 paper.

For this tutorial, lets print into "Photo Paper 4x6".

Select "Photo Paper 4x6". Then click Print this page button.

What else can you do here?

 

Switching between clipart/speech bubble

To switch between clipart/speech bubble, click on the tab title "Clipart", "Speech Bubble" on top of the clipart window on the right hand side.

 

Resizing clipart/speech bubble

To resize clipart/speech bubble, simply click on it on the preview window. Now you will see a clipart/speech bubble properties showing bellow the preview window. Drag the scale slider.

Deleting clipart/speech bubble

To delete a clipart/speech bubble, click on it to select then press Delete button at the bottom right corner of preview window.

Editing speech bubble

To edit a speech bubble, click on it to select. The speech bubble properties will show bellow the preview window.

To edit background

As what we discussed previously, if you want to modify the background again, simply click on the background photo on the preview window (avoid clicking on top of clipart/speech bubble). The background properties and controls will show again underneath the preview window.

Download more Clip Arts, Speech Bubble and Sound

Click on Download more online button underneath tool window. This will open your internet browser to visit inAlbum.com clipart gallery where you can download more clipart, speech bubble and sound

 

Zoom in and out the photo page preview window

Click on + and - button on top of preview window to zoom in and out. Click on o button to reset the zoom back to original size

 

Adding an additional photo into current page.

Click on Import button at the bottom of clipart window then choose "Photo". Then choose any photo in your computer.

To select a variety of border to be added to your photo, click on Set Border button. A window showing all available border will open up.

GIF image is not supported for Photo Print

 

Adding an SWF file into current page.

Click on Import button at the bottom of clipart window then select "SWF Flash file". Then choose the SWF file in your computer.

This feature is only available in InAlbum 3.0 Deluxe.

There are some limitation of SWF file you can import:

The SWF file must not contain script that navigate the animation (stopping playback/jumping to different frame, etc).
The SWF file must not contain script that refer to _parent or _root
The SWF file must not contain streaming sound/video (This type of SWF will make the publish to AVI/VCD/DVD not working properly)

If you would like to create an animated SWF, use frame rate of 12 as InAlbum published SWF file has frame rate of 12.
