When making a CD/DVD label & cover, you will start with a few pages. In this tutorial we are making a CD label & cover. You will see on the left hand side there are 4 page thumbnails which labeled "Front", "Inside", "Disc", "Back".
Clicking on any of them change the currently edited page.
Later you dont have to print them all. You only need to print the page you want. For example you might just want to design and print CD label, so dont worry about the other 3 pages, only work on the page labeled "Disc".
| • | Lets click on page label "Disc" to continue our tutorial. |
You will see a disc shape showing in the preview with the default background image.
| • | Before we go ahead with the design process, the first thing we want to do is to choose the paper type we want to print this page into. |
Why? Because each paper type have a printed area with slightly different size which define our working area.
To choose the paper type for this page, click on Paper list at the top of the preview window.
A list of paper type will show. Select the type of paper you want to print into. InAlbum 3.0 support majority of CD label paper available in store.

| • | Now we start with the design process. To change the background image, click on the Browse button underneath the preview. |

| • | A photo browser will now open, choose any photo provided. If you want to choose your own photo, click on Choose Own Photo button. Whenever you select a new photo, the photo will be inserted into the photo browser for easy access in the future. |
| • | You will see now that the photo is replaced with your own photo. You can position this photo by clicking on the photo on the preview window and drag it around. To resize the photo manually, drag the Scale slider below the preview window. |
| • | To automatically adjust the photo size in proportion the the workspace area, click on Size listbox next to the Browse button. A 3 different automatic sizing methods are provided. |
| • | Stretched: To resize the photo to match the workspace area neglecting the photo aspect ratio. |
| • | Clipped: To resize the photo to match the workspace area but preserve the photo aspect ratio. The resulting photo may be slightly bigger than the workspace area. |
| • | Original: Do not resize photo. Use original photo dimension. |
Note that all of these controls to modify background will only available when you have background selected. If you have a clipart or speech bubble selected, this area will be replaced with clipart/speech bubble properties. To show the background properties again, simply click on the background photo on preview window.
